Dawn James is a Licensed Professional Counselor, Board Certified National Certified Counselor who received a Master of Science in Mental Health Counseling from Capella University in 2014.
Dawn has experience in individual, family and group therapy in partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient settings.
Dawn has facilitated psycho educational and experiential therapy groups based on multiple treatment modalities including Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy.
Dawn has extensive volunteer service which includes serving as a Court Appointed Special Advocate for children in the foster care system. In addition to serving as a CASA volunteer, Dawn volunteered at Center for Community Counseling where she provided therapy for uninsured adults and facilitated group therapy for “Grandparents Raising Grandchildren.
