“I have a passion and love for medicine and caring for others,” Tammy continues, “Even after many years of serving in this role, I still get very excited to learn new things.”

Tammy has worked with Brownwood Regional Medical Center (BRMC), BRMC-One Source Clinic, and Heart of Texas Internal Medicine.

In 2002, Tammy received her Master of Science in Nursing with Family Nurse Practitioner specialty from Patty Hanks Shelton school of Nursing (Hardin Simmons University).

Tammy graduated from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in 1997 with a BSN and an undergraduate degree in business.

Tammy has 17 years of work experience in both Family and Internal Medicine while serving as a Registered Nurse for 23 years.

Veronica has trained in motivational interviewing and has experience in group therapy, life skills training, and relapse prevention.

She has been a team leader, building supervisor, and completed numerous training.

She worked 11 and a half years in a therapeutic community in different counseling roles.

After graduating with honors, she started her career with TDJC working as a counselor intern.

Veronica received her Associated in Applied Science in Chemical Dependency Counseling in May of 2011.

Tiffany provides individual care to patients of all ages from birth to end of life. She strives to involve patients in their own treatment plans, believing in empowering people is what helps the individual make the changes necessary for their improved health.

Sheila holds a National Certification through The American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. As a Nurse Practitioner, Sheila served over 3 years in Washington State and a year in Colorado.

Sheila holds a bachelors degree in Registered Nursing, a Master’s degree in Nursing Administration and Education through Hardin Simmons University in Abilene Texas.

Brenda was born in Fort Worth, Texas and grew up in Gorman, Texas. She enjoys traveling with her husband and two children, trying new restaurants, horseback riding, reading, and spending time with friends and family.

Brenda strives to provide compassionate, evidence-based care to all of her patients and is especially passionate about whole body wellness and preventative care. She is a member of the American Nurses Association, Texas Nurses Association, and Texas Nurse Practitioners Association.

She received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Tarleton State University in 2017 then went on to earn her Master’s in Nursing from Angelo State University, graduating as a Nurse Practitioner in 2021. She is fluent in both English and Spanish.

Dr. Byrd completed his residency training in Internal Medicine at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio in 2018.

He has been practicing medicine in Brownwood since 2018 as a hospitalist at Brownwood Regional Medical Center.

Dr. Byrd is board certified in Internal Medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine.

He graduated in 2010 from the University of Texas at Austin, and spent the following year as a medical research assistant in the Department of Trauma Surgery at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio.

Her background is in women’s health. An 8-year career as a registered nurse has provided extensive experience in caring for her patients, ensuring they receive the highest quality of care.

Since becoming a nurse I have spent most of my time as an LVN and then RN working in hospice and long-term care. My goal is to create a safe, judgment-free space where patients can feel heard, understood, and empowered to take control of their mental health journey.

Dr. Madeline Middleton is a Licensed Psychologist (LP) and a Licensed Specialist in School Psychology (LSSP) dedicated to helping children, adolescents, and their families navigate psychological and behavioral challenges.
She earned her Ph.D. in School Psychology from Texas Woman’s University in 2023, where she gained extensive clinical experience in neuropsychological assessment, individual and group therapy, school-based interventions, and parent training for children with autism spectrum disorder and those with disruptive behavior disorders.
Dr. Middleton completed her APA-accredited internship at Cypress-Fairbanks Independent School District, followed by a post-doctoral residency at a private practice in Killeen, Texas, where she focused on comprehensive psychological evaluations for children and adolescents.
