She is available to serve patients of all ages at the AccelHealth Clinic located at 2100 Crockett Dr., Brownwood, Texas.
“I have a passion and love for medicine and caring for others,” Tammy continues, “Even after many years of serving in this role, I still get very excited to learn new things.”
Tammy has worked with Brownwood Regional Medical Center (BRMC), BRMC-One Source Clinic, and Heart of Texas Internal Medicine.
In 2002, Tammy received her Master of Science in Nursing with Family Nurse Practitioner specialty from Patty Hanks Shelton school of Nursing (Hardin Simmons University).
Tammy graduated from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in 1997 with a BSN and an undergraduate degree in business.
Tammy has 17 years of work experience in both Family and Internal Medicine while serving as a Registered Nurse for 23 years.

Veronica has trained in motivational interviewing and has experience in group therapy, life skills training, and relapse prevention.
She has been a team leader, building supervisor, and completed numerous training.
She worked 11 and a half years in a therapeutic community in different counseling roles.
After graduating with honors, she started her career with TDJC working as a counselor intern.
Veronica received her Associated in Applied Science in Chemical Dependency Counseling in May of 2011.

Tiffany was born in Morgan Mill, Texas and has lived in DeLeon, Texas for 26 years.
She believes in the importance of lifestyle changes, including diet, exercise, stress management, and medication management, as needed.
Tiffany provides individual care to patients of all ages from birth to end of life. She strives to involve patients in their own treatment plans, believing in empowering people is what helps the individual make the changes necessary for their improved health.
Tiffany received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Tarleton State University in 2005. She went on to earn her Master’s in Nursing from the University of Texas at Arlington, graduating as a Nurse Practitioner in 2019.

Sheila brings 13 years of hospital experience in medical and cardiac surgery. Sheila is excited to join the medical professional team at AccelHealth and serve the Brown County community.
Sheila holds a National Certification through The American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. As a Nurse Practitioner, Sheila served over 3 years in Washington State and a year in Colorado.
Sheila holds a bachelors degree in Registered Nursing, a Master’s degree in Nursing Administration and Education through Hardin Simmons University in Abilene Texas.

We are the only medical health provider in De Leon providing access to a wide array of primary health care services including medical and behavioral health care for the entire family.
Cross Timbers Health Clinics, now AccelHealth, began providing services to the community in 1967 and was formally chartered in 1986.
AccelHealth has a very rich history in De Leon, Texas and surrounding communities.

Medical services include: Primary Healthcare, Women’s Health, Family Planning, Immunization, Chronic Care, Laboratory Services and Hepatitis C Screening and Treatment. Along with Family Dental Care, AccelHealth offers Behavioral Health services including treatment for Addictions and Substance Use Disorders.
Our Medical and Behavioral Health clinic locations include De Leon, Brownwood and Stephenville. Dental services are provided at our Stephenville clinic.
During the past 54 years, AccelHealth has made significant progress in expanding access to care in Central Texas, particularly for those most in need.

Brenda was born in Fort Worth, Texas and grew up in Gorman, Texas. She enjoys traveling with her husband and two children, trying new restaurants, horseback riding, reading, and spending time with friends and family.
Brenda strives to provide compassionate, evidence-based care to all of her patients and is especially passionate about whole body wellness and preventative care. She is a member of the American Nurses Association, Texas Nurses Association, and Texas Nurse Practitioners Association.
She received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Tarleton State University in 2017 then went on to earn her Master’s in Nursing from Angelo State University, graduating as a Nurse Practitioner in 2021. She is fluent in both English and Spanish.

As a bilingual provider, Scarlett is passionate about improving access to quality healthcare and creating a welcoming environment where every patient feels heard, respected, and involved in their care. Her clinical interests include chronic disease management, preventive medicine, women’s health, pediatric care, and helping patients achieve healthier lifestyles.
Outside of the clinic, Scarlett enjoys spending time with her family, gardening, crafting with her Cricut, and participating in church and community activities. She is honored to serve the Brownwood community and looks forward to partnering with patients to help them achieve their health goals.
Scarlett Diaz is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner with more than 16 years of experience providing compassionate, patient-centered care to individuals and families of all ages. She is dedicated to building lasting relationships with her patients and believes in treating the whole person through education, prevention, and evidence-based medicine.

McKenna Caldera earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from Tarleton State University in 2016 and went on to achieve her Master of Science in Nursing with a Nurse Practitioner degree from Texas Woman’s University.

Her background is in women’s health. An 8-year career as a registered nurse has provided extensive experience in caring for her patients, ensuring they receive the highest quality of care.

“I am very excited and committed to providing exceptional and compassionate care to my patients and their families”. “Growing up in the Stephenville area, I am thrilled to give back to the community that has always been home.”

I am married with two beautiful children. You can be sure to find us outside playing with our animals, riding horses, or vacationing at the beach.

My dedication, combined with my local roots, allows me to connect deeply with my patients and provide personalized and evidence-based care that meets their unique needs.
McKenna Caldera, FNP
With over 12 years of experience in mental health, I am a Board-Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner committed to providing compassionate and personalized care.

Prior to becoming a nurse, I worked in crisis intervention, which has given me valuable insight into the importance of early support and intervention.

Since becoming a nurse I have spent most of my time as an LVN and then RN working in hospice and long-term care. My goal is to create a safe, judgment-free space where patients can feel heard, understood, and empowered to take control of their mental health journey.

I believe in a holistic approach to treatment, focusing on both mental and emotional well-being to help my patients achieve meaningful, lasting improvements in their lives.

I am excited to join the team at Accel Health, where I can combine my passion for mental health with a dedicated group of professionals to positively impact and enrich the lives of our community.
Chandra Sikes, PMHNP
Rogina Gosnell, AGACNPRogina graduated from Texas Tech University of Health Sciences Center in 2020 with a degree focus on Adult Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner.

Her AGACNP scope of practice includes both inpatient and outpatient management of acutely ill adults, as well as management of chronically ill patients.

She is excited to serve as a Provider in her home community of Brown County and utilize her knowledge and skills to provide quality and compassionate care to her patients.
Dr. Childers is a US Navy Reserve Physician, serving since 05/1989.
He is Board Certified in Family Practice by the American Osteopathic Board of Family Physicians.
He has served 20 of those years with the Department of Veterans Affairs in Brownwood, Texas.
Dr. Childers is a Family Medicine Physician and comes to AccelHealth with over 31 years of experience.

Dr. Madeline Middleton is a Licensed Psychologist (LP) and a Licensed Specialist in School Psychology (LSSP) dedicated to helping children, adolescents, and their families navigate psychological and behavioral challenges.
She earned her Ph.D. in School Psychology from Texas Woman’s University in 2023, where she gained extensive clinical experience in neuropsychological assessment, individual and group therapy, school-based interventions, and parent training for children with autism spectrum disorder and those with disruptive behavior disorders.
Dr. Middleton completed her APA-accredited internship at Cypress-Fairbanks Independent School District, followed by a post-doctoral residency at a private practice in Killeen, Texas, where she focused on comprehensive psychological evaluations for children and adolescents.

She received her Bachelor of Science from Tarleton State University in 2013 and Master of Physician Assistant Studies from Hardin Simmons University in 2019.

Elizabeth is a sensitive and caring provider with exceptional bilingual (English and Spanish) communication skills.
Having more than 11 years of diverse experiences, especially in Nurse Practitioner, Elizabeth is currently affiliated with the Regional Employee Assistant Program in Brownwood Texas, serving as a Nurse Practitioner with Brown County Gastroenterology, and Pediatrics of Brownwood.
In 2009, Elizabeth graduated from Texas Tech as a nurse practitioner. She completed her Bachelor of Science in nursing degree at Texas Tech in 2006. Elizabeth is an Allied Health Member of the American College of Gastroenterology.
Elizabeth has served patients in Central Texas for over 17 Years in the medical field and 7 of those years as a nurse practitioner.

Michael serves as Board President on the Brownwood ISD Board of Trustees, and on Hardin Simmons University Physician Assistant Program Advisory Board as well as guest lecturing at the HSU PA program and as a clinical preceptor for PA students.
He is board certified by the National Commission of Certification of Physician Assistants and is a member of the Texas Academy of Physician Assistants.
His training and experience also include service as a hospital corpsman and respiratory care practitioner in the U. S. Navy, as well as extensive clinic work in internal medicine, diabetes care and cardiology.
Michael is a graduate of Brooke Army Medical Center Academy of Health Sciences, where he was certified as a Respiratory Care Specialist. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies and a master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies.

She has extensive experience providing both individual and group therapy, specializing in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TFCBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Motivational Interviewing (MI).
She has a Bachelor’s degree from Texas A&M University and Master of Social Work (MSW) from the University of Texas at Arlington, where she specialized in mental health and substance abuse.

Starsha comes with expertise in depression, anxiety, and trauma, and employs comprehensive evidence-based therapies, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), empowering clients to actively engage in their healing journey.

By recognizing these complex factors, she feels better equipped to offer holistic support, which is crucial for addressing the significant mental health issues that many individuals face.
Tina is a board-certified PMHNP with a master’s in nursing from the University of Texas at Arlington with over 15 years of nursing experience within various settings, including public health and maternal health.

Rachel Byrnes is a highly skilled Family Nurse Practitioner with over a decade of experience, primarily in pediatrics.

Throughout her career, she has made significant contributions to various medical fields including Family Practice, Pediatric Emergency, Pediatric Gastroenterology, and Radiology.

Rachel has spent her career as a dedicated Family Nurse Practitioner at Tucson Medical Center in Tucson Arizona, where she developed a comprehensive understanding of patient care.

Rachel looks forward to moving home and is excited about the prospect of working in a new community.
She is eager to bring her wealth of experience and passion for pediatric care to a new setting, where she can continue to make a positive impact on the lives of children and their families.
